Centrifuge
Learn More
A laboratory centrifuge is used to prepare blood and urine samples taken from the patient so that the samples may then be analyzed. We use 2 different centrifuges depending on the tests needed for a given sample.

MedRX
Learn More
The MedRx Scope is a live video endoscope that allows us to get down into different parts of the patient, most commonly ears. It can also be used to evaluate the nose, throat, genitals, or wounds.

X-Ray
Learn More
X-rays allow us to take a “picture” of the inside of the patient. They allow us to focus on a certain area of the patient’s body to look for abnormalities. We commonly look for masses, fluid in the lungs, bone abnormalities, bladder stones, foreign objects, etc.

Portable Anesthesia Machine
Learn More
Having a portable anesthesia machine allows us to be mobile with an anesthetized patient if needed. This is useful when multiple procedures are being performed such as surgery, x-rays, and endoscopy. It also allows us to bring anesthesia to the emergency patient that is too critical to move.

Opthalmascope
Learn More
The Opthalmascope is used to examine the patient’s eyes. Different colored lights and settings are used to find corneal ulcers, cataracts, and foreign bodies.

Blood Machines
Learn More
Laboratory machines, including the Vetscan Chemistry and the Vetscan HM2, allow us to get blood test results on-site within minutes. This is especially useful for emergencies, critical care, and pre-operative patients.

Test-Tube-Rocker
Learn More
After surgical instruments are cleaned they are then sterilized in the Autoclave using high pressure steam.

Ultrasound
Learn More
Ultrasonographic examinations of the abdomen, heart, and other areas are routinely performed. Color-flow Doppler detects shunts and abnormal blood flow. Ultrasound-guided needle aspiration and biopsies are used to collect fluid and tissue samples for various laboratory tests.
Endoscopy: Endoscopes are routinely used to view the esophagus, stomach, nose, vagina, and other areas. Endoscopic biopsies, foreign body retrieval, stomach feeding tubes, and other procedures can also be performed.
Electrocardiography: 10-lead electrocardiograms are performed on patients where arrhythmias are a concern. Also, whenever an echocardiogram is performed, a simultaneously run electrocardiogram is evaluated, to screen for arrhythmias
